Herman Miller Noguchi Table
Herman Miller has been producing the Noguchi Table for over 50 years (it was introduced to the line in 1948). The origin of the table is a story of being at the right time at the right place… at least for Miller director of design George Nelson. Nelson happened upon good friend and sculptor Isamu Naguchi’s studio one day and found him working on a gift for his sister. Struck by the organic form, Nelson suggested they take it back to Herman Miller. The serendipitous visit of Nelson to studio resulted in a design classic.
