extrastudio was commissioned to create a concept for a Portuguese delicatessen shop that would also work as a cafe.
The shop has a large shop window/entrance, near to a square where they have the terrace, that can be opened completely in the summer. Inside, shelves carved on the thick exterior walls, display a wide range of products. The bar, clad with typical Portuguese ceramic tiles, divide the working areas from the public space. The ceiling is decorated with laser cut plywood panels that duplicate the pattern used on the counter tiles. The furniture is composed by a set of used hardwood chairs and tables with marble tops.
