Veuve Clicquot’s Newest Collaborations

The Tasting Gloriette by Fernando & Humberto Campana
The structure is a contemporary version of a gloriette for the residence’s garden that is dedicated to outdoor tasting and champagne degustation. It is intended to celebrate the art of playful conversation and the enjoyment of good food and drink. It will stand in the Hôtel du Marc 19th Century garden.

As a continuing evolution of its relationship with innovative design, Veuve Clicquot unveiled its latest collaboration with Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana, as well as with French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, at the 2010 Milan Furniture Fair last week. Over the years, Veuve Clicquot has collaborated with some of the biggest names in design, like Andrée Putman, Karim Rashid, Pablo Reinoso, Tom Dixon, 5.5 Designers and Front Design.

This year, as part of the renovation of its town house in Reims, Veuve Clicquot has commissioned works by the Campana Brothers and Mathieu Lehanneur to decorate the Hôtel du Marc residence (Veuve Clicquot town house) and delight visitors. These imaginative projects correspond to the hotel’s reputation for hospitality, aesthetics and pleasure, all in the spirit of the Champagne tradition. Dating back from the 18th and 19th Centuries, the Hotel du Marc has been under renovation for the past two years. The hotel will open its doors again in Spring 2011, with the Gloriette and Once Upon a Dream available to guests.

 Something extra :

Once Upon a Dream by Mathieu Lehanneur
This installation by Mathieu Lehanneur has been designed to help people rapidly recuperate and adapt to their new surroundings, based on tested psychological studies used in sleep treatment clinics to help cure chronic insomnia. The capsule installation will allow Hôtel du Marc guests to recover as quickly as possible from jetlag, in an extraordinary space—a sleep unit that is a hybrid between fairy tale and home cinema. This is a nod to the history of the Veuve Clicquot House as Barbe-Nicole Clicquot-Ponsardin was a notorious insomniac.

dunhill A/W10 Installation by Campaign

New York Fashion Week installation for British icon....

Taking over one of the Meatpacking district’s last remaining disused warehouse spaces during the recent New York Fashion Week were iconic British luxury brand dunhill, with a little help from super-talented London based studio, Campaign. Recreating, in a beautifully ghostly manner, Bourdon House – the London home of Alfred Dunhill – Campaign’s unique installation played host to dunhill’s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection in a fascinatingly unique interpretation of London’s buzzing Mayfair.

Having recently produced sublime pop-up stores for Dr.Martens and currently collaborating with Christopher Bailey, Creative Director of Burberry, on forthcoming interior concepts, London’s Campaign are carving a name for themselves as the ‘go-to’ agency for the Fashion world’s particularly creative needs.

LA MAITRESSE DE LA TOUR EIFFEL

La Maîtresse de la Tour Eiffel | 2009 from Michel de Broin on Vimeo.

“La Maîtresse de la Tour Eiffel” is the title of an installation by Michel de Broin. The largest mirror ball ever made was suspended from a construction crane 50 meters above the ground to render the starry sky to the citizens of Paris for one night in the Jardin du Luxembourg during the Nuit Blanche event.

Michael Johansson Sculptures

Swedish artist Michael Johansson likes to play Tetris ! His art can be called Tetrism or Compactism - I love his color research definitive of a perfect color palette. A part from his sculptures/installations Michael likes to create those pretty amazing “assembly kits” of everyday objects.
