Minimalist House Above a Vineyard – Wilson House

This minimalist house is set above a vineyard in the Yarra Valley north-east of Melbourne. It’s designed by Denton Corker Marshall and consist of two thin rectangular plates which are supported by a series of parallel black concrete walls set at right angles to them and by the hillside.
Full height glazing laid longitudinally between the plates. Each plate is 50m long and 11m wide and the roof plate is supported by internal steel columns. The lower level contains entry, car parking, wine cellar, study and guest bedrooms.
The upper level contains master bedroom, second bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. Sliding external doors is what separates this internal space from upper level terrace. [Denton Corker Marshall]
